Datafoundry will be participating in the session on Business opportunities in Denmark and be a witness to the unveiling the findings of the report on the IT Landscape in Denmark. Traditionally US/UK have been Indian IT industry’s largest markets. However there are other markets that are UNDER PENETARTED with HIGH POTENTIAL and Nordics region is one of them.
As a region the Nordics is English speaking; is a US $1.78 Trillion economy and 10th largest globally. It has a mature IT sourcing environment with most large players increasingly offshoring to India. The region also enjoys a higher GDP growth than EU average. Not only an early adopter of technology, the region is home to some of the world’s largest and most sustainable & innovative corporations such as Lego, Maersk, Vestas, Novo Nordisk, Danfoss, Scania, IKEA, SKF, Kone, Nokia, Tetra pack among many others. Nordics has more than 50 companies with revenue over USD 10 Billion and about 250 companies with revenue over USD 1 Billion – underscoring a great opportunity for Indian tech companies.
To bring forth these opportunities for serving the Nordic region, NASSCOM commissioned Danish Consultant Poul Tokkesdal to do a market opportunity report in partnership with INVEST IN DENMARK, a part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark & Ministry of Electronics & IT, GOI. The report provides an overview of the Nordic region, raises awareness on Denmark’s economy & IT landscape, opportunities in various sectors for large, medium and small Indian tech players, recommendations on do’s and don’ts, business culture, prevalent models for go-to-market etc. The intent of the report is create a well – informed starting point for companies that are interested in serving the Nordic market through Denmark as a gateway.
